A mixer-style view of PipeWire. Applications, devices and the links between them are shown as columns of channel strips with live volume and mute controls, and each application stream is matched to the desktop window it belongs to.
Graph editors such as qpwgraph show every PipeWire node as a freely placed box, and have no volume or mute controls; volume tools such as pavucontrol have no picture of the routing. pwmix is a new tool from netlinux-ai/pwmix that puts both in one window, in a fixed Sources / Middle / Sinks layout:
| Version | 0.1.0-1netlinux1~resolute1 |
|---|---|
| Architecture | amd64 |
| Component | main |
| Suites | resolute (Ubuntu 26.04) |
| Depends | pipewire, libcairo2, libpango-1.0-0, libx11-6, libsystemd0 |
| Download | pwmix_0.1.0-1netlinux1~resolute1_amd64.deb |

sudo apt install pwmix
stable (Debian 12), only resolute. Known limits: a browser such as Chrome runs all its audio through one process, so its streams can be matched to the browser but not always to the individual tab; routing cannot yet be edited by dragging.
See the main page for repository setup instructions. For a node-graph editor see qpwgraph.
