xfce4-panel

The Xfce4 desktop panel with plugin support. This build adds user-configurable autohide timing controls.

Ubuntu 24.04’s xfce4-panel has hardcoded autohide timing with no user controls. This build adds:

Configurable popdown delay — set the delay (0–2000ms) before the panel hides after the mouse leaves, via a spinbutton in Panel Preferences > Display. Default 350ms (upstream hardcodes 0ms for instant hide)
Configurable slow-hide multiplier — when autohide uses “slow” mode, the delay is multiplied by this factor (1–10x, default 4x), also configurable in Panel Preferences
Persistent settings — both values are saved via Xfconf and apply immediately without panel restart
